Upgrading to BitDefender Antivirus 2008

Issue:

This article describes how to upgrade to BitDefender Antivirus 2008.

Solution:

Your current registration license for a previous version of BitDefender Antivirus v10 and BitDefender Standard v9 was upgraded to BitDefender Antivirus 2008 for the remaining licensing period. Upgrade your product now to benefit for free of the new features and enjoy the continued protection.

The upgrade procedure can be done in one of the following ways:

A. Install without removing the previous version - for v9 or higher, Internet Security excluded
The upgrade is as easy as downloading the setup kit and installing BitDefender Antivirus 10 without removing the previous version.

B. Uninstall your previous version and install the new one - for all BitDefender versions

First, you must remove your previous version, then restart the computer and install the new one as described in the installation article.

Below are presented the download locations for 32 bit and 64 bit compatible BitDefender products.

Upgrading to BitDefender Internet Security 2008

This article describes how to upgrade to BitDefender Internet Security 2008.

Solution:

Your current registration license for a previous version of BitDefender Internet Security (v9/10) and BitDefender Antivirus Plus v10 was upgraded to BitDefender Internet Security 2008 for the remaining licensing period. Upgrade your product now to benefit for free of the new features and enjoy the continued protection.

Note: The upgrade to BitDefender Internet Security 2008 can be done only after uninstalling the previous BitDefender version. First, you must remove your previous version, then restart the computer. After that download the setup kit and install BitDefender Internet Security 2008. Do not forget to register BitDefender Internet Security 2008 with your current registration license as a final step of the upgrade process.
